Ebasten FT contains ebastine, a second-generation, long-acting antihistamine. It selectively blocks peripheral H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes. Ebastine is metabolized into its active form, carebastine, which provides sustained antihistaminic and antiallergic effects with minimal sedation.
Ebasten FT can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. The dosage depends on the condition being treated and should be taken exactly as prescribed by a physician. In some cases, it may be used only when symptoms appear, while in others it may be taken daily to prevent allergic reactions. Discontinuing the medication earlier than advised may lead to a return of symptoms.
Take the medicine in the prescribed dose and duration. Swallow the tablet whole without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. It may be taken with or without food.
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
